CREST
The Coastal Restoration and Enhancement through Science and Technology
program (CREST) was established in 2001 as an alliance of academic
institutions within southern Louisiana and Mississippi. Current members
of CREST are: Louisiana State University, Louisiana State University Agricultural
Center, Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium, Loyola University, McNeese
State University, Nicholls State University, Southeastern Louisiana University,
Southern University at New Orleans, Tulane University, University of Louisiana
at Lafayette, University of New Orleans, and the University of Southern
Mississippi. The aim of the alliance is to create a cooperative program
to help policymakers, planners and coastal resource managers use the latest
science and best technologies to ensure sustainable and productive coastal
habitats and communities.
