Guidelines & Procedures
Eligibility
To qualify for assistance from the program, the applicant must be a presenter at a national or international conference. In addition, the applicant must rank as an assistant professor. Their travel must directly benefit their research program and LSU. Partial funding for the trip must also come from their department or unit. Funding is limited to $500 for trips within the U.S. and $750 for international trips.
Deadlines
Applicants should apply for assistance one month before the intended travel date. Funding requests received after May 31 will be credited to the next fiscal year.
Reimbursement
Recipients should submit their completed Travel Expense Voucher through their home department to the Office of Research & Graduate Studies in a timely manner. Vouchers should be sent to Todd Pourciau in 130 David Boyd Hall.
