Major Research Instrumentation Program (MRI)
The RFP for the Major Research Instrumentation Program should be published shortly. We anticipate that the RFP will allow an organization to submit or to be included as a partner or subawardee in no more than three proposals. Include in the body of the email:
- A 250 word description of your proposal
- Whether you are the PI, partner, or subawardee

You will receive an acknowledgment of your email no later than October 30.
After October 29, we will determine if we need to hold an internal selection process.

Other Limited Submission Programs
Some programs limit the number of applications that may be submitted by
an institution. Before you write your proposal, contact Office of Research
& Economic Development Associate Vice Chancellor Doris Carver at 225/578-5833
or dcarver@lsu.edu well in advance
of the due date to obtain information regarding the internal selection process.
She will provide you with the date by which a pre-proposal must be submitted
to the Office of Research and Economic Development and information about the
expected content of the pre-proposal. The office will conduct a selection
process to determine which applications will be submitted from LSU.
