Reminder to Researchers about Katrina-Related Research
The Office of Research and Economic Development is pleased that our researchers are pursuing numerous important research issues related to the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. As a part of your plans for conducting the research, be sure to obtain necessary approvals required for your type of research. As examples, if your research involves sampling, you must contact Major Rabalais at 578-0624 or lrabal1@lsu.edu. If your research involves human subjects, you must contact Professor Robert Mathews, Chair of the Institutional Review Board at 578-8692 or psmath@lsu.edu. If your research involves biological hazards, you must contact Matthew Philpott, Manager of Occupational and Environmental Safety at 578-4650 or mphilp1@lsu.edu.
